Cell phone model

Our 9th graders wrap their brains around the 3D modeling program Google SketchUp. Their first assignment was to recreate the Sony Ericsson cellphone W920. I animated the best submission here from Daniel.

Timeline project

Once properly mastered, Excel can let you use its organization tool to create fantastic timelines. This project was completed by our students in Grade 10. The best work was submitted by Cristina who intertwined her timeline with those of 2 other students. Very imaginative to say the least.

The 6th grade students are mastering the formatting of font in Microsoft Word. Nothing is left behind in this activity which kept us busy with margins, font styles, sizes, colors and the highlighter.

Coloring images with Photoshop

Southpark character Flash animation

Interview with the vampire podcast

In this assignment, 9th graders scripted and recorded an interview with the Audacity program. Music, sound effects and voice transformations were added to give the interview its scary (and sometime comical) edge.

With this graded assignment, the students were able to apprehend the advertising world and the balance between form and content. Criteria emphasized the creation of eye-catching title and headlines (content) and the design of the cover (form).
