For this lesson plan, 10th grade students are turning argumentative and creative to convince their parents of the benefits of staying on the Internet all night long. Designing a convincing outline with Word 2007 SmartArt was a snap and Dewi did it the best as you can see below:

Once properly mastered, Excel can let you use its organization tool to create fantastic timelines. This project was completed by our students in Grade 10. The best work was submitted by Cristina who intertwined her timeline with those of 2 other students. Very imaginative to say the least.

With this graded assignment, the students were able to apprehend the advertising world and the balance between form and content. Criteria emphasized the creation of eye-catching title and headlines (content) and the design of the cover (form).
